One of the major subjects of discussion all over the internet is the subject of “how” to make money. It is a great subject because we all need money .We need money, because we spend money every day to meet our various financial obligations. And this has fueled our desire to have our share of it.

Money can indeed make life comfortable and meaningful.

If money is crucial, then it is wisdom to look at how it is made. Many conference and motivational speakers would want us believe that learning and practicing money making principles are the sure access into a world of financial liberty. Because to them principles will always deliver result.

Thank God for great principles, but they are all limited in ability to make things happen on their own.

Principles Can Fail.

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. “ 1co 3:6-7

Planting is a principle, watering what was planted is also a principle, but listen to this great man of God, a wise master builder, ( who knew the technicalities of building….. even  building wealth 1Cor3:10) he says…….. neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth;

What he is literally saying is that the principles of planting and watering are as nothing in the final analysis. That is, they are not enough to produce the desired result. On their own, they will disappoint. Principles are limited in ability.

Result can only come from God!

“A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.”John 3:27

Paul said that result can only come from God…. God gave the increase. Increases in every area of life including financial increases are only possible as a result of the input of God.

Is teaching principles bad? No
Is practicing principles bad? No

God’s Input Makes All The Difference

What am saying is this, principles on their own are limited, they lack the ability to make things work without the input of God.

“for without me ye can do nothing.”John 15:5

Paul never said that practicing principles were bad, but that it takes God for principles to deliver result.

The disciples of Jesus were with Him for three and a half years, they heard His teachings, they received the principles, yet when Jesus was to return to heaven He could not guarantee their success. So He told them to stay in Jerusalem until the ability of God comes upon them.

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luk 24:49

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Act 1:8

The word “power” connotes ability, even the ability of God. Jesus literally told them that beyond the principles they already learnt, they needed the ability of God to be at work in them to truly succeed.

Listen, God has not changed and the way to achieve result in any area of life has not changed either.

Principles, great teachings, skills… without the input of God would be like a good computer without a power source…..very dead.

Listen friend, for you to truly make money, go for those teachings, embrace and practice the principles but much more connect with God . For without Him nothing works.

In putting your critical factors of success together don’t ever forget the “G” factor……..the God factor. This you must always remember, that it is God who gives the power i.e. the ability to get wealth.

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day”. Deu 8:18

This is God’s ability at working in mortal men helping them to make money. The input of God is truly the ingredient of true prosperity.
